Staff Software Engineer, AI Agent

Job Description

Build, maintain, and own Hercules’ AI coding agent and its online and offline evaluation systems. Research and implement ways to make the agent more cost-effective, faster, and more accurate.

Requirements: Candidates should have strong software fundamentals, including system design, architecture, data modeling, and API design, along with experience writing maintainable code in monorepos and independently shipping customer-facing features. They should have substantial experience with current AI context and harness engineering practices, such as summarization, prompting, caching, subagents, memory, context management, tools, and retrieval-augmented generation.
