Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Own spacecraft subsystem mechanical design from requirements and concept through flight build, integration, testing, and on-orbit verification. Lead design reviews and technical trade-offs, resolve hardware issues, coordinate across engineering disciplines, and mentor engineers while improving team standards.

Requirements: Requires at least eight years designing, building, and testing high-reliability hardware, plus a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field. Candidates need strong CAD, drawings and GD&T, BOM and budget management, ECO/DCO and PLM experience, technical documentation, vendor management, and cross-functional communication skills.
