Principal Platform Software Engineer

Job Description

Lead the design and evolution of shared backend platform services, APIs, middleware, runtimes, and integration frameworks, establishing safe versioning, interoperability, resilience, and observability practices. Guide cross-team architecture and engineering, resolve complex service issues, create adoption documentation, and mentor engineers.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, plus at least seven years of software engineering experience. Candidates should have strong distributed-systems and scalable-platform expertise, proficiency in an object-oriented or systems language, and demonstrated cross-team technical leadership.
