Civil Engineer Trainee (Multiple Vacancies)

Job Description

Complete a one-year rotation through engineering units in the PennDOT Engineering District 8-0 Office, gaining experience in areas such as bridges, transportation, soils, materials, traffic, construction, and roadway planning. Work with supervisors and staff on assignments supporting public safety and environmental protection, and receive feedback throughout the rotations.

Requirements: Applicants must have one year of civil engineering experience and a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board, or a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field with major civil engineering coursework. A valid, unsuspended driver’s license is required; applicants may qualify educationally when within nine months of graduation.
