Civil Engineer (Transportation - Design)

Job Description

Review project designs, drawings, and calculations for compliance with departmental criteria, and prepare highway design plans for projects of varying complexity using CADD or traditional methods. Evaluate consultant proposals, recommend actions, coordinate project meetings and hearings, and work with other units to finalize designs.

Requirements: Applicants must qualify through completion of a civil engineer trainee program or meet one of the specified combinations of civil engineering experience, an Engineer-in-Training certificate, and relevant education. A valid driver's license is required; applicants claiming education must provide college transcripts.
