Senior Backend Software Engineer, AI Observability & Evals Platform (NYC)

Job Description

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for LangSmith’s tracing, monitoring, and evaluation workflows, while improving performance and reliability for high-volume data. Collaborate on architecture and feature launches, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain system and API documentation.

Requirements: Candidates need at least five years of backend engineering experience with complex products, proficiency in a backend language such as Python or Go, and experience building reliable APIs and high-throughput systems. The role also calls for database and cloud-platform experience, performance and reliability optimization, strong communication, customer focus, and ownership.
