Sr. Staff/Principal Mechanical Engineer, Battery

Job Description

Lead battery-pack mechanical design from concept through production launch, including architecture, CAD, drawings, interfaces, validation, and manufacturing readiness. Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical risks, guide design reviews and DFMEA, and deliver safe, durable, production-ready hardware.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline and typically 10+ years of relevant experience, including ownership of complex hardware through a complete development cycle. Candidates need substantial hands-on CAD and drawing experience, expertise in mechanical design, GD&T, manufacturing, validation, and battery safety, plus demonstrated technical leadership; a master's degree is preferred.
