Opto-Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Design and develop precision optomechanical mounts and assemblies for the OCTANE terminal, including component selection, thermal modeling, tolerance analysis, and preparation of engineering documentation. Build, align, test, troubleshoot, and integrate assemblies with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable optical systems for field operation.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, optomechanical engineering, optical engineering, physics, or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience. Candidates should have precision optomechanical design experience, familiarity with optical components and alignment, 3D CAD proficiency, and U.S. Person status; SolidWorks is preferred.
