Sr. Opto-Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Lead the architecture, design, analysis, integration, and testing of precision opto-mechanical hardware for High Energy Laser systems and related defense applications. Guide development from concept through deployment, collaborate across engineering disciplines, support qualification and troubleshooting, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related discipline and at least eight years of opto-mechanical engineering or precision optical system design experience. Candidates need expertise in optical alignment, tolerance and structural/thermal analysis, CAD, ruggedized system integration, and hardware testing, and must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
