Senior Software Engineer, Database Systems

Job Description

Design and build core Milvus and Vector Lakebase database components, evolve engine architecture for lake-native capabilities, elastic scaling, and multi-tenancy, and develop database features for AI and Agent workloads. Own Zilliz Cloud stability, use customer scenarios to improve the engine, adopt AI developer tooling, and contribute to the Milvus open-source community.

Requirements: Applicants need at least 3 years of experience building database, distributed, storage, query, search, or large-scale data infrastructure systems, plus a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. They should have strong C++, Go, or Rust systems programming skills and deep knowledge of distributed systems and database internals; experience with large-scale cloud-native data platforms and relevant open-source contributions is a plus.
