Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Design and optimize facility piping systems, size mechanical components, and prepare or update drawings, plans, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Perform engineering calculations and safety checks, support procurement and vendor evaluations, and assist with factory acceptance testing, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus at least two years of hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment in an industrial setting. Candidates should have experience with equipment sizing, pressure-drop calculations, pipe-stress concepts, relevant codes and safety practices, and drafting or analysis tools; they must be able to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
