Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Design and optimize facility piping systems, size mechanical components, prepare and update technical drawings and specifications, and support engineering analyses and safety reviews. Assist with procurement and vendor evaluations, factory acceptance tests, field inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting under senior staff guidance.

Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least two years of relevant hands-on experience with piping, fluid systems, or process equipment. Practical equipment-sizing experience, familiarity with calculations, pipe-stress concepts, codes and safety standards, and exposure to drafting or analysis tools are sought; the successful candidate must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
