Software Engineer - Ingestion Execution Platform

Job Description

Design, build, and operate core capabilities for Snowflake’s shared ingestion execution platform, including scheduling, isolation, durable queues, monitoring, and compute allocation. Own distributed-systems work from design through production, improve reliability and observability, support neighboring teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements: Candidates should have 3–6+ years of experience building and operating production-scale distributed systems or cloud infrastructure, with end-to-end ownership of complex platform work. Strong Java skills and experience in at least one relevant area—such as multi-tenant control planes, durable queues, distributed locking, cluster scheduling, or streaming execution—are required, along with a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
