Sr. Software Engineer (AI First)

Job Description

Design, build, and operate scalable cloud-native services and APIs for OPENLANE’s U.S. marketplace, including customer-facing workflows and AI-enabled features. Use AI tools to accelerate development and improve testing, debugging, and documentation while owning production reliability, collaborating across teams, and contributing to platform modernization.

Requirements: Requires at least five years of experience building and supporting production software systems, plus a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Candidates should have backend development experience, strong knowledge of APIs and distributed systems, cloud-native and CI/CD experience, operational ownership, and active, critical use of AI development tools.
