Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Overseer (Platform)

Job Description

Build and operate real-time systems that enforce financial correctness across Coinbase fund flows, including detection engines, invariant frameworks, and onboarding tools. Partner with teams to define enforceable correctness rules, develop AI-powered guardrails, and mentor engineers in distributed systems and production operations.

Requirements: Requires 5+ years building and operating large-scale distributed systems, with experience in financial systems, payments, reconciliation, or high-reliability transactional infrastructure. Candidates should have backend programming and platform infrastructure experience, streaming data and distributed data store expertise, end-to-end ownership skills, and responsible generative AI practices.
