Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Video Engineering)

Job Description

Design, deploy, and monitor Philo’s video streaming pipeline and scalable data services, collaborating with content partners and internal video, advertising, and data teams. Improve platform reliability, performance, latency, security, video quality, and delivery costs, and support testing streaming quality across new client platforms.

Requirements: Requires 8+ years of software development experience, strong proficiency in a language such as Go, Java, or C++, and experience with concurrent programming and highly available, high-throughput REST services. Candidates should also have cloud and container deployment experience, data and database expertise, and the ability to lead complex work and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders; video transcoding familiarity is also sought.
