Southworth International Group Inc located in Manila AR has an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer Southworth is the worlds largest manufacturer of ergonomic material handling equipment for vertical lifting and work positioning Our products are designed to improve worker productivity while reducing the potential for worker injuries Anywhere that workers are lifting and positioning items handling pallets working with parts in containers or transporting loads in a factory or warehouse Southworth has a product to make the job faster safer and easier We realize that our success is a direct result of the efforts of our talented and dedicated employees To ensure continued success we take extra care to make sure that careers at Southworth are financially intellectually emotionally and socially rewarding for all We offer a generous time off policy 401k match affordable health and vision coverage tuition reimbursement development plans for career growth and a fun engaged workforce The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting and improving product and process quality through data analysis process development quality standard implementation and corrective action activities This role works cross functionally with production inspection suppliers and quality teams to identify improvement opportunities strengthen workflows and work instructions support inspection and measurement practices and ensure processes meet established standards The ideal candidate will have strong analytical problem solving and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities work independently lead cross functional efforts and travel as needed This position is located at our Manila AR facility Duties and Responsibilities Collect analyze and summarize data to identify opportunities for process improvementsDevelop processes and technical work instructions for production requirementsDevelop robust workflows and processes resulting in quality productDevelop and implement quality standardsMonitor and analyze quality performanceFacilitate corrective action activities to improve quality metricsIdentify opportunities for improvement in manufacturing processes quality processes and inspection activitiesProvide instruction for auditors and inspectors on areas of concern or improvementFacilitate measurement techniques for incoming and in process inspections as neededValidate that processes adhere to current standards and work instructionsProvide analysis and feedback to suppliers for supplied product to develop corrective actionCommunicate defect and improvement information with suppliersQualifications Skills and Experience Degree in quality industrial or engineering desiredTwo 2 or more years of experience in quality engineering quality assurance or a similar role desiredStrong problem solving skills required with the ability to lead a cross functional teamStrong analytical skillsExcellent project management skillsProficient knowledge of basic office and analytical softwareMust be able to perform and manage multiple tasks at once work without direct supervision and be willing to work flexible hoursMust be able to bend twist reach and grasp with fingersUp to 25 travel requiredQualifications Key Competencies Developed problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamEffective communication and interpersonal skillsComputer skills including Excel Word Microsoft Office etcAbility to interpret part and assembly drawingsRequired Capabilities Understands core system functions and workflows; able to navigate and use systems effectively with occasional supportFamiliarity with manufacturing systems and toolsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and technologiesAbility to travel up to 25 of schedule SIGI is an Equal Opportunity Employer Youll receive consideration for employment without regard to race sex color religion sexual orientation gender identity national origin protected veteran status or disability Were only hiring those authorized to work in the United States We do not currently sponsor immigration visas SIGI does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or employment agencies Any unsolicited resume will become the property of SIGI
