Senior Optical Engineer

Job Description

Review customer requirements and develop optical systems that meet or exceed specifications while remaining cost-effective, manufacturable, and suitable for high-yield production. Define alignment metrics, collaborate with engineering teams, present and defend design decisions, manage project schedules and budgets, support cost proposals, and mentor other optical engineers.

Requirements: Requires a master's degree or higher in engineering, physics, or a related technical field, at least 10 years of professional photonics industry experience, and expert proficiency with optical design software such as Zemax, ASAP, FRED, or GLAD. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of optical material properties, demonstrated optical system design ability, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
