Validation & Tooling Software Engineer

Job Description

Design and maintain internal software-in-the-loop environments, simulation infrastructure, and developer tools for residential energy firmware, including visualization, debugging, and trace capture/replay capabilities. Support product onboarding, automated testing, CI integration, field issue reproduction, and collaboration across software, hardware, validation, and product teams.

Requirements: Requires strong Linux systems knowledge, programming proficiency—especially in Python and Go—and experience building internal developer, validation, or simulation tools. A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience is specified; embedded systems, SIL, observability, instrumentation, and CI experience are valuable.
