Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Provide electrical engineering oversight throughout design, construction, and closeout for infrastructure upgrades at VA medical centers, including reviewing plans and construction work for compliance with standards, codes, and contract requirements. Conduct inspections, support testing and commissioning, coordinate technical issues and schedules, maintain project documentation, and help manage risks to facility operations and patient care.

Requirements: Requires U.S. citizenship, the ability to pass a federal background investigation and obtain a VA PIV badge, and a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Candidates must have at least six years of relevant electrical engineering or construction experience, experience with infrastructure or healthcare facility projects, and knowledge of electrical systems, construction administration, QA/QC, and construction practices.
