Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Develop and maintain Akamai's custom Linux kernel, including porting modifications to newer kernel versions and improving platform performance, reliability, and security. Debug issues across test and production environments, improve build and continuous-testing automation, collaborate with platform, application, test, and hardware teams, and contribute work to the open-source community.

Requirements: Requires at least five years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent, including three or more years of C software development focused on Linux kernel development and scripting. Candidates should understand kernel internals and debugging, have experience with at least two specified kernel subsystems, and demonstrate knowledge of concurrency, algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and network protocols.
