Job Description

As an electrical engineering manager, you will be tasked with supervising all team members to create a high-performing, energetic and positive work environment. By taking a hands-on approach to the job, you can ensure that verification and electrical engineering design methodologies support product and safety requirements and that development processes fall within established timelines. This will allow you to leverage others in the firm to meet and exceed department goals to ensure future success and growth in the industry.

* Establishes sustainable, scalable processes and tools to continuously improve the efficiency, capacity and performance of the team
* Sets and regularly monitors KPIs to ensure on-time and on-target performance by the team
* Provides electrical engineering recommendations and technical support on engineering reviews, strategic plans, and projects
* Assists with allocation, scheduling, resource planning, and budgeting
* Ensures on-time product development by collaborating with other leaders to estimate reasonable and precise schedules and solve problems quickly
* Streamlines production while meeting compliance and safety guidelines
* Creates production, quality validation, and evaluation requirements and tests and troubleshoots production dilemmas
* Establishes technical standards in reviews, documentations, and designs
* Manages engineering teams and other electrical engineering staff members

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
* Minimum 10 years of experience as the lead engineer for corporate commercial projects
* Previous electrical engineering management experience
* General knowledge of CADD
* Extensive knowledge of state and national electrical codes and their applications
* Strong Knowledge of automation electrical design
* Experience with Allen Bradley Software and hardware
* Proficient using AutoCad Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks or similar solid modeling software
* Mechanical aptitude for common machinery
* Excellent communication skills
* Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office
* Able to concentrate for extended periods of time, while paying close attention to detail
* Prefer Lean Experience and experience with HMI software and hardware
