We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our team. Overall responsibilities include project scoping and design, project management, managing contractors, and ensuring the successful implementation and completion of projects. Although we are headquartered in NYC, we are open to location.
Here are the things we want to hire you to do:
•Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans from internal and external partners.
•Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
•Maintain project schedule and budgets by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
•Direct contractors in project construction, equipment installation and startup and inspect and approve work done to assure quality, efficiency, compliance and contractor productivity
•Ensure that all project designs and installations are in compliance with governmental regulatory specifications (O.S.H.A., F.D.A., building codes, etc.)
•Set up project controls to track project costs and ensure schedule compliance and report on total project status
•Help Oatly balance the demands of quality, speed, and scale as we build our operations footprint in North America through a variety of exciting projects to help us expand capacity, capability, and improve profitability.
Here are things we think you need:
•B.S. degree in an engineering field
•3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer – preferably in areas related to Food or Beverage manufacturing
•Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects on-time and under budget
•Knowledge of the safe design, sanitary design, food processing equipment, and packaging equipment is required
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
