Responsible for representing Coperion and provide assistance customers and/or assigned personnel in the areas of installation, start-up, troubleshooting and maintenance phases of Coperion equipment at the customer’s plant site or related designated areas. To offer expertise, guidance, and training to subordinates and co-workers.
To represent Coperion in the capacity of Service Representative providing assistance and advice to customers and/or assigned personnel. To install, trouble shoot, overhaul and maintain gear boxes, lube oil systems, drive components, process sections, downstream equipment such as pelletizers, gear pump systems and other associated equipment. Assist customers to start-up newly installed equipment and train customer personnel as needed.
When not on travel assignment, perform office assignments in the Coperion Field Service office such as writing reports, preparing field information packages for himself and other Field Service or Company personnel, answering customer phone calls, and other related tasks. Work in accordance with all Coperion policies and standards. Adhere to all customer safety and drug and alcohol control regulations and procedures. Complete all trip reports and data sheets related to assignments as detailed as possible and in a timely manner.
Familiar with electrical system trouble shooting of both 3 phase electrical systems & low voltage power systems (control & signal)
Experience with installation & commissioning of small to large low voltage (480VAC) AC & DC drives
Experience with temperature controllers & (PID) loops
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s & RS Logix Suite (Logix 500 & 5000 important)
Experience in writing in-depth technical reports
