In the Manufacturing Engineer position you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at and with our customers to drive engineering activities in a manufacturing environment. The focus will be on hands-on machine setup and troubleshooting. In this hands-on role you will drive manufacturing process development activities for new products in aerospace and surgical instrument contract manufacturing markets. These activities can include manufacturing process development, tooling design, producing technical drawings, work instructions. Core processes include laser welding, laser cutting and precision machining.
Your background should include a broad range of manufacturing and engineering experience. Knowledge of assembly processes, manufacturing equipment and tooling design as well as excellent communication skills are necessary in this role.
Minitab or equivalent
5-axis machine set-up
Manufacturing process design
Project management experience including the use of MS Project or equivalent
Familiar with LEAN or Six Sigma principles
Excellent communication skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Ability to design, coordinate and document experiments
BS in Engineering or equivalent
3-5 years experience
