We are looking for a Production Manager / Operations Manager to help with change and growth of a rapidly growing company. This is an interim role which will last between 3 to 5 months and has the possibility for a direct hire. Though a temporary position, you will be given the autonomy to make changes and the support to back up your efforts. You will be assigned to directly manage one or two value streams including machining presses, warehousing, shipping and receiving. As Interim Manager you will report to the Director of Operations and their typical team size will be between three and eight people.

This Production / Operations Management position will require a minimum of fifteen years manufacturing experience with a minimum of ten years managing at least five people directly (such as Team Leaders, Supervisors and/or Functional Managers) and minimally fifty people indirectly.

Experience with various types of metal forming and/or machining plus mechanical assembly is preferred but is not essential. The key priorities for the operation involve Safety, Quality and Delivery.

To be successful you must be proficient with Lean principles and have the experience and knowledge to quickly achieve sustained results in conjunction with your team.  Strong Leadership skills are required with the ability to develop a more professional and team-oriented culture.


    • Health & Safety – Working knowledge of OSHA regulations as an Operations Manager and not as a Health & Safety professional.

    • Quality – The initial focus will be on eliminating customer complaints through the use of basic problem solving methods such as Root Cause Analysis, management of non-conforming material plus basic FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) for quality-critical processes.

    • ERP Implementation – Someone with experience in finding and implementing an ERP / MRP system will be a plus.
