Responsible for developing and managing departmental annual budget inclusive of input to budgetary provisions for CAPEX and OPEX forecasting requirements, analyzing actual to budget variances and initiating corrective actions for the Network / Telecommunications Technology Department. Responsible for building and documenting the IP/MPLS Network infrastructure and ensuring birth certificates are in place ensuring continuous functionality, network security, reliability and redundancy and optimization of network resources. Responsible for managing and supporting the IP Network infrastructure and ensuring continuous functionality, network security, reliability, scalability and optimization of network resources. Prepares and maintains documentation of Telecom topology and Network configurations. Maintains Telecommunications and Network systems, including phone systems, network nodes, terminals and network systems (facing the customer). Provides oversight to maintenance activities for transport, IP/MPLS network, voice and infrastructure. Performs analysis of Telecommunications and Network needs and contributes to design of Telecom and Network architecture, integration and installation. Creates system optimize / performance plan to initiate recovery action after system failures. Monitors and manages network capacity. Manages the company's IPv4 and IPv6 address space. Acts as level three (3) technical support to Network Engineers in the IP and MPLS team, who serve as level three (3) technical support to the Network Operations Center (NOC). Manages the company's telecommunications services for international interconnects and carriers.
