Classification: Systems Analyst
The primary responsibilities of the Application Systems Analyst will be to oversee and contribute to a team of Application Systems Analysts which ensure that both enterprise and specialized application systems are being utilized to meet the business needs of Norwich University. As a member of the ITS team this position will contribute to the improvement and enhancement of application systems and processes through strong communication with users, peers and management with a focus on customer service. This will include assisting in problem resolution, helpdesk ticket escalations, and creation of documentation and training materials and through serving the Norwich community. This position may be required to provide some off hours support.
The Team Lead provides oversight of implementation/maintenance, operational oversight, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, training and support on a variety of Enterprise and specialized software applications at Norwich University. In addition, he or she is also responsible for analyzing current and future application needs and working closely with management to ensure that all application systems are being properly utilized to support the business needs of Norwich University. This position will serve as a member of the ITS management team and will contribute to the operational and strategic decision making processes.
The responsibilities of the Application Systems Analyst team lead includes:
Building a strong cohesive team of Application Systems Analysts
Providing support to Norwich's ERP and SIS system (Ellucian's Banner) and a combination of related applications such as (this is not a comprehensive list and is subject to change):
OnBase, Argos, Dynamic Forms, DegreeWorks, Salesforce, Slate, EAB NAvigate, and many other smaller specialized applications.
Providing testing and analysis of proposed changes and upgrades
Assisting with the creation of reports via Argos or other reporting tools.
Working with management to advise on new applications or approaches to solve problems
Creation of documentation
Proven communication and leadership skills.
Able to show good problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a tightly knit team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with Ellucian Banner products and how to integrate disparate systems.
Skill sets should include but not be limited to: Ellucian Banner, PL/SQL, Evision's Argos
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly and independently
The ability to multitask, strong oral and written skills, and the ability to communicate information to large and small groups of people.
