Job Description

Job Title: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Lehigh Valley, PA

Summary: Provides Mechanical engineering design for assigned product line to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule by performing the following duties.

* Modify and create sales and engineering drawings for product lines as well as new product designs.
* Provide support to lead mechanical designer to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
* Performs validation & verification testing by assembling new product designs to ensure manufacturability.
* Resolves issues with products that are currently being manufactured.
* Follows all department documentation processes that include ECR, ECN, document logs, and manufacturing releases.

Qualifications:

* Experience with and knowledge of CAD Software (Solidworks and AutoCAD), MSOffice and MRP Systems
* 2 or more years of experience in Mechanical engineering design
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Additional experience / training may replace education.
* Must have mechanical ability (i.e. familiar with use of hand tools & building fixtures)
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
* Ability to apply mathematical concepts that are used in standard technical math curricula.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Skills
