Sirius Technical Services is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer for a large client in Bay St. Louis, MS. This is a permanent position.

Position Summary:

The Controls Engineer supports the facility in day to day technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Foxboro DCS, associated interfaces, and various PLC applications in a continuous manufacturing process environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide automation Support for Manufacturing Process using Allen Bradley PLC’s and Foxboro DCS Systems

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements and business needs

  • Provide technical support and recommendations in assessing new requirements for projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems.

  • Manage projects - defining scope, stakeholder analysis, objectives, timeline, testing phase, implementation and evaluation.

  • Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.

  • Drive successful results through continuous improvement activities.

  • Develop and provide training to end users

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the Industrial Controls field, prefer chemical plant experience

  • 2+ Years PLC and HMI Programming experience preferably Allen Bradley Controllers

  • DCS Experience in a continuous process environment, preferably in Foxboro I/A

  • Knowledge of Industrial control networks including HART, OPC, Remote I/O, and Ethernet/IP

  • Configuration and commissioning experience of VFDs, preferably Allen Bradley

  • Possess good troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Possess good interpersonal skills in communication, listening, and good safety practices

  • Proficient with computers software programs including Microsoft Office

  • Willingness to work on-call hours and over time/nights as needed

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Strong initiative, leadership skills , team player, and positive attitude
