Job Description

  • Participate in a team of engineers responsible for the development, integration, build and test of software for control module for various control algorithm analysis, design, implementation, bench/dyno/vehicle testing. 
  • Perform failure mode analysis, diagnostic analysis, design, implementation and testing. 
  • Perform software requirements analysis, design, coding, test plan creation, and testing for Control Features. 
  • Perform reviews for Requirements, Design Documents, Simulink Models, C/C++/Assembly code, and Test Plans. Create RTW/Target Link Models. 
  • 3-5 years experience

Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is required from an accredited University 
  • 2 years minimum experience in automotive
  • 2 years or more years Matlab / Simulink Tool experience in creation of control algorithms
  • Good facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills with ability to work directly with individuals and groups. 
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good project coordination skills
  • Good experience leading teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Flexibility must be able to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
  • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
  • Willing to travel up to 10% away from primary location in Auburn Hills

Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in complex digital signal processing
  • 1 or more years ETAS INCA Tool Experience for collecting OBD2 data
  • Experience developing embedded software
  • Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills with ability to work directly with individuals and groups. 
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong project coordination skills
  • Strong experience leading teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of the development of embedded software
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office applications, including sample presentations in Powerpoint with respect to OBD2
  • Experience applying OBD 2 regulation to the creation and validation of diagnostics for new gasoline or diesel engines
  • Experience developing new gasoline or diesel engines
  • Experience in application of Brazil OBDBR2+ regulation, Euro6, and China6 regulations

Driving and Travel Requirements:
  • Will be required to drive a company car. 
  • A valid drivers license is required as well as a clean driving record. 
  • Will be required to travel domestically up to 20%
