The HR Dept was started to address a gap in small businesses- human resources. Most small companies have a handful of employees, and no need for an on staff Human Resources professional. The mission of The HR Dept is to provide Human Resources and recruiting support and services for small businesses.
The HR Dept is led by Kristie Holmes who has more than 15 years of recruiting and Human Resources experience in a variety of industries. Ms. Holmes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Memphis, as well as a Masters in Business Administration (Human Resources) from Bethel University.
Often called an encyclopedia of Human Resources, Kristie Holmes wanted to step away from corporate America and get back to working for small business owners. Her knowledge and vast skillset allow The HR Dept to offer a wide array of services designed specifically for the benefit of small businesses. Learning both the right and wrong ways to approach Human Resources, Holmes focuses on relationship building and a personal touch.
The job of any Human Resources professional is to be a resource for the humans of the company they represent.
