American Showa, Inc., a tier-1 supplier in the automotive industry is looking for Engineer for the Quality Control Department, located at the Sunbury, Ohio Plant.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Analyze parts returned by customers or rejected in house using all available test equipment and analysis methods, judge the part to be OK or NG (no good) and determine the root cause of the failure.
•Issue a Corrective Action Request / 5P to the department responsible for the failure and review their response as capable of solving the problem or not.
•Periodically review previous countermeasures for continued use and effectiveness.
•Communicate all activities above to the relevant ASI departments and customers as required.
•Be able to utilize all documentation from drawings to checksheets to properly communicate and provide accountability throughout the organization for product specifications.
•Perform additional projects as assigned by Quality Control Department management and support all shifts as required.
•Follow all company policies and regulations per the associate handbook or other written standards that apply to job assignment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Four year technical degree with 0 – 2 years experience, or at least five years in general manufacturing or quality control.
•Strong mechanical aptitude.
•Strong troubleshooting and analytical background.
•Proficient follow-up skills.
•Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced working environment.
